Sponsorship Details

This sponsorship is designed to provide financial support to independent elite athletes who are paying their own way in their chosen field and need assistance to cover costs.

Sponsorships are offered on an annual basis, aligned with the financial year. Applications open 1 January and close 1 March each year for the upcoming financial year.

Examples of what your sponsorship can cover:

• Travel or accommodation costs for overseas competitions;
• Equipment or uniform expenses;
• Supplementing income for rent/mortgage while overseas or out of work to train and compete;
• Coaching or training membership costs.

As a smaller organisation, regretfully we can only sponsor a limited number of applicants each year.

Selection is competitive, so we encourage applicants to carefully review the eligibility criteria and take the time to complete their application thoughtfully and thoroughly.

T&Cs

To be eligible for Aintree Group Sponsorship, applicants must:

• Be over 18 years of age, and no longer be enrolled in secondary school.
• Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Be actively competing at an elite national or international level in their chosen sport or discipline.
• Be able to demonstrate clear goals for what they hope to achieve in 2026–27 with the sponsorship support received.
• Be willing to participate in Aintree Group media or promotional content as part of their sponsorship agreement.

Funds provided must be used solely for the purposes and costs specified in the approved application.

Money or products donated as part of a sponsorship cannot be retained for personal or company profit. All funds must be used for purposes related to the athlete’s training or competition.

Sponsorships do not automatically renew each year. If you would like to be considered again in the following financial year, you will need to submit a new application during the designated application period.
