Shane McKenna CA

Managing Director – Aintree Group

Shane is an astute Chartered Accountant with nearly 30 years’ experience working as a trusted advisor to business owners and professionals. He and his wife Andrea started Aintree Group in 2005 with a vision to create an accounting and advisory business that could provide genuine long-term support.

He specialises in Tax Planning, Business and Management Consulting, Managerial Finance, Strategic Business Planning, and being there to talk clients through all their big life decisions. Shane’s knowledge of tax matters is the best in the business. He has a way of seeing opportunities that others can’t, from simple savings through to sophisticated tax planning strategies. He seeks to educate business owners so they can become financially savvy themselves and empower them to achieve security and success in all areas of their lives.

Shane is passionate about sharing his expertise to benefit the wider community. He is an active member of many advisory boards and local committees and speaks on topical issues at seminars and training events regularly. He is family oriented and encourages finding a balance between home and work life.

Andrea McKenna

Principal – Aintree Group

Andrea is a practical, no-nonsense ideas person who specialises in Marketing Strategy, Business Strategic Planning and Communications, Management Consultancy and Public Relations.

Andrea has a background in Marketing and Communications across various industries. Her wealth of knowledge on business operations and strategy is backed by decades of experience both as a business owner and business advisor.

Andrea is passionate about helping small business owners, community organisations and not-for-profits find solutions to roadblocks and achieve success. She serves on many committees and advisory boards and widely volunteers her time, expertise, and resources.

Andrea has a special interest in the Arts and is a huge advocate for improving industry standards in that space. She loves travelling with her family, but also enjoys coming back home to a good Melbourne coffee.

Ashley Wignell CA

Director – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Ashley is multi-skilled Chartered Accountant with over 22 years’ experience. He joined the Aintree Group team in 2016 after many years of looking after high net worth individuals and privately owned businesses.

He predominantly works with family businesses, providing accessible tax, accounting and superannuation advice that is always in the client’s best interest. He believes in a proactive, honest, and hands-on approach to accounting.

His invaluable knowledge and experience covers a broad range of industry specialisation including manufacturing, insurance, property development, construction, and professional services such as doctors, lawyers, and engineers.

When not at work, Ashley enjoys the constant chaos and adventure that comes with having an active family life with his beautiful wife and three kids. He is also an avid Carlton supporter and hopes for success in the 2022 season.

Graham Haydar CA

Director – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Graham is a Chartered Accountant with over 36 years of audit, taxation and business advisory experience and has been a Director at Aintree Group since 2018. His clients respect him as their personal “go-to” trusted advisor and assists them in finding solutions to their business problems and achieving their goals.

Graham has vast experience in all facets of business, offering effective taxation strategies, financial management and wealth creation, and superannuation advisory services. He provides practical, honest, and transparent solutions to a range of everyday business issues and provides strategic CEO advice to large family office clients.

Graham is passionate about helping the community and he regularly volunteers his time with many Not-for-Profit organisations like Fareshare Australia and the Royal Children’s Hospital. He also holds several board positions within his client groups such as Big Group Hug.

Outside of work, Graham enjoys finding a work-life balance through travelling, family holidays, driving fast cars, cycling and exercising regularly.

Linda Perry

Business Manager – Aintree Group

Linda has over 10 years’ experience working in accounting firms. She loves organisation and is responsible for all the operational, IT and general administration functions of the office, including accounts and debtor management, quality review and client satisfaction.

Linda enjoys boxing and going to the gym to keep fit, and loves to get lost in a good book as a way to relax. She is looking forward to adding “loves overseas travelling” back to this list some time soon!

Trung Le CA

Manager – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Trung is a Chartered Accountant with experience working in both the public and private sector in Australia. He also has international experience working and living in London and the Cayman Islands.

At Aintree Group, Trung’s experience covers a variety of industry sectors including manufacturing, retail, professional services, construction, and property development.

Outside of work, Trung enjoys playing a round of golf and hitting winners on the tennis court. However, he enjoys a good Netflix series and holidays with his family the most!

Nadia Bakri CA

Manager – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Nadia is a proactive Chartered Accountant with over 10 years’ experience. She joined Aintree Group as a manager in February 2020 after spending a year working and travelling in London.

Nadia specialises in supporting family-owned businesses with their specific individual needs, both business and personal. She is passionate about her clients and thrives on actively supporting her clients through their journey.

Outside of work, Nadia enjoys staying fit, spending time with her dogs and travelling.

Teagan Thomas CPA

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Teagan loves working with numbers and developing new relationships with clients.

She enjoys keeping active through running and tennis and regularly competes in fun runs.

Joseph Colaciello CA

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Joseph is a Chartered Accountant with over five years experience working closely with Aintree Group clients. He loves working with numbers and is passionate about building strong client relationships and providing tax strategies for small businesses and individuals.

In his spare time he enjoys travelling, catching up with friends and family, watching tennis (especially when Nadal is playing), supporting his favourite AFL and Soccer teams – Hawthorn and Chelsea FC, and staying active by playing football and going to the gym. 

Daniel Piciocco CA

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Daniel is a Chartered Accountant and has been at Aintree Group for over 6 years. He is very passionate about seeing businesses flourish and assisting clients in any way possible. He is personable and easy-going, and helps organise team social events to keep everyone connected.

He likes to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle with a range of different hobbies including supporting his favourite sports teams (Carlton FC, Chelsea FC and the Utah Jazz), playing tennis and video games, watching cooking videos, and most importantly, spending his money on good food with friends and family.

Daniel is also currently serving as the Treasurer of the Camberwell Trader’s Association.

Hannah Trinh CPA

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Hannah specialises in the preparation of tax returns and takes a special interest in looking after clients and doing research on tax-related matters.

Outside work, she enjoys nature, good books, podcasts, yoga and meditation practices, and takes every opportunity to spend time with her partner and young son.

Nick Binney

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Nick joined Aintree Group in 2021. He assists our team with accounting and tax matters.

In his spare time he enjoys catching up with friends and watching the footy (particularly when Richmond is playing).

Selina Arche

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Selina joined Aintree Group in 2021. She assists our team with accounting and tax matters and is currently working towards her Chartered Accountant qualifications.

Outside of work Selina enjoys crafting, travelling, and spending time with her cat. She also loves anything Disney and Taylor Swift related.

Sam Lin

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Sam assists our team with accounting and tax matters. He joined Aintree Group in 2021. He is enthusiastic about solving clients’ tax and financial problems.

Sam also enjoys cooking, travelling, and playing soccer.

Kanika Sharma

Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Kanika joined the team at Aintree Group in 2022. She takes care of accounting, tax and compliance matters for our clients.

Anne Burridge CA

Superannuation Administrator – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Anne is a Chartered Accountant and specialises in superannuation. Her role includes preparing financial statements and returns for Self Managed Super Fund clients, and ensuring they are compliant. She also liaises with the ATO, auditors and other third parties.

Anne has been with Aintree Group for over 10 years. 

David Bishop

Superannuation Accountant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

David joined our team in 2022. His role includes preparing financial statements and tax returns for Self Managed Super Funds and ensuring they are compliant.

In his spare time he enjoys socialising with friends, playing tennis and spending time with his pet greyhound.

Lorena

Lorena Thomas

Bookkeeper – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Lorena has over 20 years experience in the Bookkeeping industry, and celebrated her 10th year at Aintree Group in 2019.

She can assist you with all your bookkeeping needs, including BAS preparation, payroll services and data entry.

Lorena is a registered BAS Agent with the Tax Practitioner Board and has a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. She is also Xero Advisor certified, and an expert in MYOB and Banklink.

In her spare time, Lorena enjoys travelling and reading. 

Joe Corrone

Bookkeeper – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Joe can assist you with all your bookkeeping needs including BAS preparation, payroll services and data entry. He is Xero Advisor certified, and is also an expert in MYOB, Banklink, Reckon and Cash Flow Manager.

Joe comes from a big Italian family. He loves food, coffee, traveling and music, but most of all his cats.

Sue Dowling

Bookkeeper – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Sue is Xero Advisor, Payroll and App Advisory Service Certified, and a Certified Migration Specialist. She is also qualified in Credit Management.

Her specialisations include accounting and consulting services, managing customer relations with Government programs and services, and bookkeeping for Wholesale businesses.

Before joining Aintree Group, Sue ran her own small business and consulted to many start-ups. She has many years experience across Credit Management, Software Support and Small Business Mentoring.

She is passionate about customer service. Sue also enjoys oil painting, floristry and her veggie garden.

Felicity Siddle

Bookkeeper – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Felicity joined Aintree Group in 2020. She is Xero Certified and can look after all your bookkeeping needs, including BAS preparation, payroll services and data entry. 

Outside work Felicity enjoys riding her horses, and she regularly competes on the weekend.

Simone Thompson

Client Service Coordinator – Aintree Group

Simone is one of the first points of contact for our business and when getting in touch with Shane. She takes care of client meetings, corporate compliance, internal processes and assists with superannuation administration.

On weekends Simone enjoys watching and playing sports (specifically netball and footy), catching up with friends, and reading.

Cass Jobson

Client Service Coordinator – Aintree Group

Cass takes care of administration tasks and internal operations and is one of the first points of contact for our business. She is currently studying a Bachelor of Business (Management) with the University of South Australia Online.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going to musical productions and following the tennis.

Chantelle Rose

Compliance & Client Service Administrator – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Chantelle takes care of compliance matters relating to the ATO, ASIC and other regulatory bodies. She also assists our administration team.

Chantelle enjoys going to the gym, dancing and spending time with her family and friends. In her spare time she is learning how to speak, read and write Korean.

Patrick Suiter

Administration Assistant – Aintree Group

Patrick joined Aintree Group in 2021. He helps our Admin Team with administration tasks and internal operations. He is one of the first points of contact for our business.

Patrick loves to spend his spare time composing or playing the piano, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Jacob McKenna

Administration Assistant – Aintree Group

Jacob joined Aintree Group in 2022. He helps our Admin Team with administration tasks and internal operations and is one of the first points of contact for our business.

Jacob has a love for performing and has studied Musical Theatre.

Jenny Nguyen

Executive Assistant to Shane McKenna – Aintree Group

Jenny is one of the first points of contact when getting in touch with Shane. Her role includes liaising with clients, managing meetings, and taking care of business-to-business communication.

She likes to maintain a well balanced lifestyle and enjoys working out at the gym and spending time with her family.

Philippa Sarah

Team Executive Assistant – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Philippa’s role includes assisting our management team with meetings and correspondence.  

She enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog, catching up with friends and family, travelling, and going to concerts, musicals and comedy shows. Philippa is on the Committee for the Alice Springs Beanie Festival.

Chelsea Scarlett

Marketing & Communications Manager – Aintree Group

Chelsea manages our marketing, events and communication across all business units at Aintree Group; including digital marketing and branding, website and content creation, internal procedures, client communication, team and client events, and community involvement. She ensures our team members, clients and wider network are kept in the loop on important matters.

Chelsea has a degree in Professional Communication and has worked with a variety of business owners from different industries to improve their digital marketing strategies and internal operations. 

In her spare time, Chelsea is a dance teacher and performer with Bindaas Bollywood Dance Company. She loves spending time in nature, particularly at the beach. 

Laura Piciocco

Marketing & Communications Coordinator – Aintree Group

Laura joined Aintree Group in 2021. She works part time assisting our marketing team with social media content creation and strategy.

In her spare time, Laura enjoys baking desserts for her family, friends and the office. She also loves watching reality TV and the AFL (Go Carlton!).

Renata Koretski

Human Resources Coordinator – Aintree Group

Renata joined Aintree Group in 2021. She takes care of all internal human resource matters for our team.

Josh Gigliotti

Accounting Intern – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Josh joined Aintree Group in 2020. He works part time assisting the accountants with tax and compliance matters, while studying Commerce at University of Melbourne.

He loves watching movies in his spare time, and enjoys staying active by playing social tennis and exercising at home.

Jessica Matchett

Accounting Intern – Aintree Group Chartered Accountants

Jessica joined our team in 2022. She helps our accounting team with compliance matters.

Jessica is currently studying Business at Monash University, with a focus on Accounting and Business Law. She enjoys catching up with friends and family, playing basketball or reading self-growth books!

We’re big advocates for goal setting, and so having accurate metrics and meaurable KPIs is important to us. Therefore it makes sense that we engaged with The Workability Index to quantify our workplace culture according to their standardised tests.

We were certified with a “High” Workability Index Score in 2019, and it’s important to us that we improve on that score each year.
