Business owners have had their fair share of adversity over the last few years (the COVID-19 pandemic might have something to do with it). Despite this, they have shown great resilience in tackling the many obstacles during this period.
However, this has caused many business owners to experience mental health and wellbeing problems. In turn, this can affect their business operations and ability to manage a business successfully.
There are many programs and resources available for business owners to get help and manage their mental health.

Mental Health resources and programs for small business
NewAccess for small business owners
NewAccess for Small Business Owners is a free and confidential mental health program developed by Beyond Blue to give small business owners the support they need. Whether you’re just feeling stressed, or completely overwhelmed about everyday life issues, Beyond Blue can help.
It is designed to appeal to people who might not otherwise seek support for their mental health and to provide support early.
Coaches of the NewAccess for Small Business Owners program all have a small business background and are trained in Low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – a structured, evidence based psychological treatment.
This program is open to small business owners (under 20 employees) who are not currently seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist. The program starts with an initial assessment, then works with you over five sessions to tackle unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.

My Business Health is a website designed by the Government. It provides small businesses with the resources, tools and templates they need to manage their mental health and the stressors that come with operating a business.
